Privacy Policy

Cloud service. Effective November 3, 2026.

This policy covers the Ledger Brothers cloud service at cloud.ledgerbrothers.com (the "Service"), run by Paemonteon Studios, doing business as Ledger Brothers ("we", "us"). The downloadable ledger files, which keep data only on your own device, are covered by our separate policy on our product page.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a password. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form; we cannot read it.
• Your ledger data: the items, history and settings you enter into your ledgers, stored so they can sync between your devices.
• Purchase details: when you buy through Gumroad, Gumroad tells us your email, the plan, the sale ID and whether the purchase is active, refunded or ended. We never receive your card number.
• Basic usage events: when you sign in and which ledger you open, with a time stamp. We use these to run and improve the Service and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics.
• Technical data: like any website, our hosting and database providers may log your IP address, browser type and request times.

2. How we use it

To provide and secure the Service, sync your data, confirm your subscription, answer support requests, prevent abuse, keep records required by law, and send service emails (such as account confirmation and password reset). We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for advertising.

3. Who handles it for us

• Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage for the Service (hosted in the United States, East US / North Virginia).
• GitHub Pages: hosts the web pages of the Service.
• Resend: sends the sign-up, confirmation and password-reset emails.
• Gumroad: takes payments and manages subscriptions.

These providers act for us and have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or in a sale or reorganisation of our business.

4. Cookies and browser storage

The Service uses your browser's storage only to keep you signed in and to remember that you have seen this notice. These are strictly necessary for the Service to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Who can see your ledger data

Database rules limit each ledger's data to the account that created it. Our administrators can see account-level information such as email, plan, last sign-in and how many items are stored. We do not read your ledger contents except to fix a problem you ask us to look at or where the law requires. Data is sent over encrypted connections. No system is completely secure.

6. Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is active. Items you delete are marked deleted and permanently removed after 30 days. If your subscription ends, we keep your data for 30 days so you can come back or export it, then delete it. To delete your account and data sooner, email support@ledgerbrothers.com from your account email. Purchase and tax records may be kept up to seven years.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither). Email support@ledgerbrothers.com from your account email and we will respond within the time the law requires. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.

8. Children

The Service is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

We are based in the United States and information is processed in the United States.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date.
